Call or Text 988Welcome, Bridget!
Hello! My name is Bridget McGill, and I am incredibly excited to introduce myself as The Kim Foundation’s (TKF) Mental Health Project Intern for this summer! Currently, I am a rising junior at Regis University in Denver, Colorado, where I am pursuing a degree in psychology. However, I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, and therefore care deeply about this community and the wellbeing of its members. I am very passionate about suicide prevention, so when I found out about TKF and their mission, I immediately knew that their organization was something I wanted to be a part of.
My journey to TKF stems from my passion for suicide prevention, a cause that became personal through my own experiences and those of my friends and family. These experiences have strongly influenced my academic plans in psychology, and I aspire to pursue a career in social work or therapy, both of which are fields closely aligned with TKF’s mission.
Throughout my internship so far, I have had the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of TKF’s initiatives, including outreach events, conferences, and daily operational tasks. The community at TKF has been incredibly supportive and welcoming, creating a positive environment where I have had the privilege to collaborate with dedicated professionals. Witnessing firsthand TKF’s commitment to suicide prevention and mental health advocacy has been inspiring, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow alongside such a remarkable team.
