Presentations

Our presentations, called “Encouraging Hope,” are available at no charge to schools, entities, organizations, churches, service clubs or offices covering a variety of topics aligned with our mission to serve as a supportive resource and compassionate voice for lives touched by mental illness and suicide. Presentations can be tailored more specifically to the group’s size, age and specific needs.

Event support

In addition to events hosted by The Kim Foundation, we can provide a staffed booth at events where mental health awareness and/or suicide prevention education is relevant. We’ve attended music, art and cultural festivals, mental health walks, conferences and more.

Metro Area LOSS Team

The Kim Foundation, in partnership with the Nebraska State Suicide Prevention Coalition and Region 6, leads a Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors (LOSS) Team in the Omaha metro. The LOSS team, based on a nationally recognized postvention effort, provides immediate support to survivors of suicide loss, offering resources, comfort and hope to newly bereaved family or friends.

More Tomorrows

More Tomorrows is a public awareness campaign focused on suicide prevention in the Region 6 Behavioral Healthcare area in Nebraska. This campaign centers on empowering the community through education, engagement and a variety of outreach efforts. Everyone can play a role in saving lives from suicide — visit (and share!) the More Tomorrows website for statistics, advice and resources.

MoreTomorrowsNE.org

Each September during Suicide Prevention Week, The Kim Foundation encourages our community to “Chalk It Up for More Tomorrows” with messages of hope throughout the Omaha metro. Individuals and groups can submit photos of their artwork for a chance to win prizes and be featured on our website and social media.
