Call or Text 988The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a group of teenagers and young adults who care about the mental health of their peers and want to raise their voices that mental health matters! The group will meet around town on a monthly basis to gather for a fun activity or service project and discuss the efforts surrounding suicide prevention and mental health initiatives geared towards youth. They’ll also lend a helping hand in planning our upcoming events or initiatives. Meetings can also be used for Community Service Hours if needed.
Join the Youth Advisory Council because….
- You want to try new things
- You want to be a mental health leader in your school or community
- You want to make a difference
The YAC is open to high school and college students. If a non-student in this age group is interested in joining, please reach out directly to Natalie at nwallace@thekimfoundation.org to discuss.

The Be There Certificate provides a deep understanding of Be There’s 5 Golden Rules — a simple but actionable framework on how to recognize when someone might be struggling with their mental health, your role in supporting that person, and how to connect them to the help they deserve. We’ll also start brainstorming for this fall’s EmPOWER Youth Summit! We want your help making it the best yet!
