According to Medical News Today, in a recent study by Zoltan Rhimer of Semmelweis University in Budapest, the month a person is born could influence your risk for developing a mood disorder later in life.
The MayoClinic.org defines seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that’s related to changes in seasons. Most often, people affected by SAD begin to see symptoms arise in the fall and continue through the winter months. These symptoms of moodiness and fatigue generally begin to dissipate in the spring or early summer.
The research studied more than 400 people by assessing their personality and birth season. They began to see a pattern that people born in the spring and summer tended to be more positive and cheerful and had a higher level of energy. Individuals born in the winter seemed to be more irritable and more likely to have depressive temperament than those born in the summer, spring, and autumn.
