New “Nebraska Behavioral Health Jobs” Site

Looking to make a career move? Well look no further!

A new behavioral health job search site was recently launched and is ready to connect you to the latest behavioral health opportunities in Nebraska.

NebraskaBehavioralHealthJobs.com was created in collaboration between the Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska (BHECN), and the Nebraska Regional Behavioral Health Authorities. Not only will this site help on both sides of the search, it will also level the playing field for smaller employers that may not have funds allocated for advertising or recruiting; unlike some of the larger organizations.

“As a state, we are training and educating a good number of behavioral health professionals, but for whatever reason, Nebraska is having a tough time retaining them,” says Dr. Howard Liu, University of Nebraska Medical Center. “It’s often overwhelming for graduates when they begin their job search. This new site will hopefully connect students to local clinics and hospitals sooner, and keep them here Nebraska.”

It will also help ease the job search for professionals who are currently out of state, but looking to make a move to the Heartland!

Employers can easily post unlimited job openings for free. Positions can include every level in the workforce, from entry-level administrative support to licensed professionals. Employers can include direct or indirect care, including administrative agencies that serve a role in the behavioral health system of care.

“So far the response has been fantastic. We launched less than a week ago and have over thirty jobs posted,” says Jill Westfall, Communications Coordinator at BHECN. “The behavioral health community has been eager to share and help spread the word.”

Job seekers can create a customized profile, post their resumes and search through unlimited jobs without any fees as well.
