Welcome, Natalie!

Hi Y’all!

My name is Natalie (I guess that’s a bit obvious by now) and I believe that moments make memories. Some memories and moments are just too good to keep to ourselves. That’s where I come in! You see, I’m a Kentucky Proud gal turned Nebraska Nice who has learned there are far more stories to tell than platforms available and accessible to share them. Regardless of what state I call home, I’ve been driven to give voice to these stories. From the small, ordinary everyday experiences that shape our character, to the big, life-altering moments that define who we are.

As I wrapped up my high school career and was faced with what direction to take my life, I found myself at a crossroads. I struggled to select an educational pursuit between unfulfilled daydreams of performing autopsies as a medical examiner, relieving international tensions as a diplomat, stealing the spotlight as an actress, or preserving history as a curator. You’ll notice that all of these job titles are suspiciously absent from my resume…but I did pursue my love of theatre.

Turns out, as an actress, I was kind of the worst. It was behind the scenes that I began to discover my native genius (if I may somewhat presumptuously borrow the term from Liz Wiseman). While I wasn’t suited to be on the stage, I could run the stage like no one else. My creative brain allowed me to speak “artist” in a way many of the administrative minds could not. I learned how to motivate and create accountability they would thrive within rather than run from. Directors I worked with discovered they could share their half-baked ethereal vision and I would carry it across the finish line, leading a team of creatives to execute the vision under a collaborative approach with plenty of points for revision and re-visioning. Through the years, and the varying fields, and different states, I have carried this approach with me wherever I go. Thanks to this, I have been honored to share the stories of many amazing people and moments. It is an honor to bring this skillset to The Kim Foundation as the Event Coordinator!

When I’m not at work, you’ll find me hanging out with my boys – Balin (11), Marvel (5) and Rigby (3) plus my favorite human in the world and their dad, Aeric (we won’t share his age out of courtesy). We love exploring all that Omaha has to offer and are here to support local. On Saturday you’ll find us out and about at the zoo or the pumpkin patch or a museum. You might even see her social posts as a hyper local influencer with the Omaha Hummingbirds. Sundays, you’ll catch us in the church we planted as a family 2 years ago and then resetting for the week to come…probably watching some superhero or magical movie and cuddling our dog Tuck.
