Call or Text 988Allison Burger is the newest member of The Kim Foundation team. She grew up in Beatrice, NE and was a three-sport student-athlete in high school, which led her to receive a scholarship to play volleyball at the University of Minnesota–Crookston, a Division II college in Crookston, MN. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business management and later moved to the Bay Area of California to work in the parks and recreation field, supporting before and after school programs as well as summer and school-break programming.
After five years, Allison and her husband returned to the Midwest and settled in Omaha, where she continued working with children and deepened her experience in the nonprofit sector through roles with Omaha Schools Foundation, Catholic Charities, and the Jewish Community Center of Omaha. During the pandemic, she transitioned into human resources and administrative work, discovering a new passion for supporting both people and organizations. This path led her through HR and operations roles at Stephen Center, Project Harmony, and a senior living community, where she was promoted to Office Manager.
While she gained valuable experience across these roles, Allison ultimately found that nonprofit work is where her heart is — which brings her to The Kim Foundation as an Operations Specialist. In this role, she supports day-to-day foundation operations, assists with events, serves as the lead for the Be There initiative, and acts as the primary point of contact for community outreach booths, representing The Kim Foundation at events throughout the metro.
Outside of work, Allison enjoys going on adventures with her husband, son, daughter, and extended family. She also has a green thumb and loves gardening and spending time outdoors when Nebraska weather allows.
