Spread Hope in the Metro
Connection saves lives. Whether it’s a conversation between friends, a check-in with a coworker, or a smile from a stranger — meaningful connection is a powerful protective factor against suicide. That’s why The Kim Foundation invites you to join us in spreading messages of hope through our annual event, Chalk It Up for Brighter Tomorrows, during World Suicide Prevention Week: September 6th through the 12th.
We invite you to gather your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers to create hopeful and encouraging messages on sidewalks, driveways and parking lots all across the Omaha Metro area. It’s a simple, creative way to show that you care — and to start important conversations.
Order Supplies
Need supplies? We’ve got you covered! In addition to offering free bundles of chalk, we also provide a variety of FREE materials to help your school, workplace, or organization observe Suicide Prevention Month in a meaningful way. These include:

- All orders must be picked up on Wednesday, September 2nd between 3:00 and 6:00PM from The Kim Foundation’s office: 11825 Q St. Omaha, 68137
Show Your Support
Whether or not you order supplies from us, we invite you to submit photos of your chalk art for a chance to win prizes and be featured on our website and social media! Use the hashtag #CHALKITUP2026, tag The Kim Foundation, or email your chalk photo and name to info@thekimfoundation.org.
All submissions will be evaluated by the Metro Area Suicide Prevention Coalition.
