I hope this newsletter finds you having a warm, joy-filled holiday season with plenty of time enjoying your friends and family. I know that my family & I will be taking advantage of some much needed R&R together away from the hustle and bustle of our every day lives, as will all of our team here at the foundation. We know that this time of year can be difficult for some as well, so we hope that however you approach this holiday season, you do so with love, empathy and care for yourself. All of us deserve that no matter our circumstances.
It’s hard to believe that 2019 is coming to a close and that 2020 is now upon us. Here at the foundation this has been an eventful year of transition, success, and growth and we look forward to that continuing into the new year. We will be welcoming new team members, growing existing programs, and honing our focus to our priority areas. We know none of this would be possible without our community partners and supporters, so we thank each and every one of you!
The new year will also usher in our first ever Nebraska School Mental Health Conference in the Omaha area. We have some exciting keynote presenters lined up and look forward to announcing everything soon! We are currently accepting proposals for presenters for the breakout sessions, so if you are interested, please submit a proposal here, by 5:00pm on Friday, January 17th for consideration. For additional questions or to sponsor the conference, please reach out to me at jhebenstreit@thekimfoundation.org.
I want to close wishing everyone a very happy holiday and a successful, joyful start to 2020! We look forward to hearing from you and working with you in the new year!
