Healing Starts Here is a post-crisis, trauma-informed peer-based support program developed by The Kim Foundation in partnership with Children’s Nebraska to support youth ages 14-18 who have experienced a suicide attempt and are in recovery.
- Peer support and guided discussions
- Focus on hope, resilience, and moving forward
- Free and held in person
- Each closed group will include 6–8 participants, guided by two peer mentors and one clinician.
The Healing Starts Here support group program is not a substitute for individual therapy, crisis intervention, or other clinical mental health services. Participation in this group is intended to complement, not replace, ongoing therapeutic care.
