Introducing New Board Members

We are thrilled to welcome three outstanding individuals to The Kim Foundation’s Board of Directors. Their diverse backgrounds, wealth of experience, and shared passion for advancing mental health and suicide prevention will be invaluable as we continue to grow our mission and impact. Each new member brings a unique perspective that will help guide our efforts and strengthen our commitment to serving the community with compassion, innovation, and purpose. Meet each new member, in their own words, as they share a bit about themselves and what inspired them to join our mission.

Jeffrey D. Krenzer, MS, LIMHP, LPC
Clinical Director and Owner
Arbor Family Counseling Associates

With over 20 years of experience as a mental health provider working closely with schools, I have supported districts, families, and communities through deeply tragic events, helping them navigate healing and recovery. I have long admired the impactful mission of The Kim Foundation, and in recent years, my involvement in School-Based Mental Health initiatives has deepened my commitment to suicide prevention. I’m honored to join the Board of Directors and look forward to contributing to the Foundation’s vital programming and community outreach.

Beth Ochsner
President
Aspire Development Omaha

I am currently contracted with the Mental Health Innovation Foundation (MHIF), led by Ken Stinson. I oversee the fundraising, planning, design, and construction of the Behavioral Health & Wellness Center. Upon construction completion in the fall of 2025, MHIF will gift the center to Children’s Nebraska to operate. I was drawn to get more involved with The Kim Foundation after a work colleague and friend of more than 20 years died by suicide in 2022.

Dulce Sherman, MA, SHRM – SCP
Owner & Chief HR Advisor
Sherman Executive Consulting, Inc.

I have 30 years of Human Resources leadership experience and an M.A in Business Management from Bellevue University. I completed the Youth Mental Health First Aid USA training from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, and I am a co-founder of Healing With Hope, a coffee group for parents who’ve lost a child to suicide. I’m also a public speaker on suicide awareness and HR-related topics.

Since losing our youngest son Jon-Jon to suicide in 2020, I am doing everything I can to raise awareness about suicide prevention. I want us to get to a place where we can openly talk about how we are feeling without shame, provide rapid response on the resources available for help, and especially save a life. There is no problem too big, that cannot be worked out. If I can save one life or spare a family from experiencing the worst heartache, there is hope.
