Last month I let you know about some exciting events The Kim Foundation is hosting in 2024. More have since been added to our calendar, and we are really looking forward to an impactful, busy year! One of our greatest strengths at The Kim Foundation is our partners, volunteers, and supporters. We are so fortunate to have wide community support that help make our work possible, but with such a busy year, we know we’ll need this more than ever!
There are three main ways to join The Kim Foundation in our mission-driven work of being a supportive resource and compassionate voice for lives touched by mental illness and suicide.
Volunteer! We are always looking for volunteers to help us at events or in the office. We try and make our volunteer opportunities meaningful, and items that will truly contribute to the success of our events. Whether it is your creativity, a love for organization, or event support – we have something for you to do! Our LOSS Team is another way for those who are suicide survivors (someone who has lost a loved one or friend to suicide) to join our team of volunteers who help support local families as they grieve a suicide loss. Our LOSS volunteers provide hope and support at a crucial time for individuals and families. For more information or questions, please contact loss@thekimfoundation.org.
Partner! Partnership and collaboration are at the core of our work. We can’t be successful in what we do without our partners. So, whether you’re a school, organization, faith community, athletic club, law enforcement, or any other individual or group with a shared passion of engagement around mental health and suicide prevention, we would like to partner with you! We provide free training and education to our partners, as well as vendor booths at events, prevention promotional items, and much more! Please reach out to Julia at jhebenstreit@thekimfoundation.org or Molly Verble at mverble@thekimfoundation.org if you are interested in partnering with The Kim Foundation as we are happy to build a partnership to meet your greatest needs.
Donate! The Kim Foundation is committed to continue providing our programming at no cost to participants, and we are able to do this because of generous donors. If you believe in our mission and want to support us in providing free education and programming around mental health and suicide prevention, you can donate today whether through individual giving, corporate partnerships, or event sponsorships. For questions on donating, please contact Julia at jhebenstreit@thekimfoundation.org. Thank you in advance for your support.
Whether you’re an existing partner or interested in becoming a partner in the future, we are truly grateful for those who share in our belief in and efforts toward a healthier, safer community!
