Call or Text 988Ashlee Zaragoza is the Program Manager at The Kim Foundation, where she plays a vital role in advancing the organization’s mission to promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Ashlee moved to Omaha in 2020 to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), which she completed in December 2022. She is currently working toward a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
Before joining The Kim Foundation, Ashlee gained valuable experience in leadership, management, hospitality, and training development. Her diverse background has shaped her approach to building community connections and creating impactful programs. Ashlee’s personal experiences and strong dedication to suicide prevention and mental health advocacy led her to volunteer with The Kim Foundation in May 2023, where she became an essential part of the outreach team.
As Program Manager, Ashlee oversees various outreach initiatives, including suicide prevention trainings, events, and community-driven programs. She is especially passionate about lethal means safety, working to educate and raise awareness about the critical importance of reducing access to lethal means as a key component of suicide prevention. Her commitment to supporting others with an empathetic, solution-based approach allows her to serve as a compassionate resource for individuals and families affected by suicide and mental health challenges. Ashlee’s dedication to creating meaningful change within the community continues to inspire and drive her work at The Kim Foundation.
Outside of work, Ashlee enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Ethan, and their cat, Millie. A true foodie, she loves exploring new restaurants and trying unique dishes. Ashlee is also an avid hip hop vinyl collector and can often be found at home, spinning her favorite records. For self-care, she enjoys meditation, unwinding with a cup of hot tea, and reading good books.
