School Mental Health Conferences

The Middle America School Mental Health Conference (MASMHC) and Nebraska School Mental Health Conference (NSMHC) invite licensed mental health providers, nurses, social workers, counselors, administrators and school personnel from across the region and state to gather in promoting strong mental health services in schools; to provide resources and training to increase access; and to promote early intervention and wrap around services for youth and families.

Target Audience

This accredited continuing education activity is designed for licensed mental health providers, nurses, social workers, counselors, administrators, and school personnel. 

Educational Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to: 

  1. Describe the professional roles involved to provide comprehensive school mental health practices to address the mental health needs of students in both urban and rural settings.  

  2. Discuss advanced insights into evidence-based mental health interventions, to apply nuanced strategies in practical, real-world scenarios within school contexts. 

  3. Identify team-based strategies to help communicate information utilizing a myriad of local, state, and national resources, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of support systems to enhance services for students and families in their respective communities.  

  4. Cultivate a resilient and collaborative team dynamic among professionals by fostering advanced skills in resilience-building, leadership, and self-care practices.

Call for Proposals

The theme for our conference is “Cultivating Hope & Healing: Building cultures of hope & healing for families, schools & communities.” If you would like to apply to be a presenter, click “submit proposal” button below. Please have the following prepared prior to beginning the form: presentation title, description (75-100 words), and three specific learning objectives. The proposal deadline is Monday, January 15, 2024 at 5 p.m. CST.
