NSMHC by the Numbers

The Nebraska School Mental Health Conference (NSMHC) was held May 28–29 in Kearney, NE. Proudly presented by The Kim Foundation in partnership with ESU3, the conference brought together stakeholders from across the state to champion the importance of robust mental health services for students. Mission accomplished!

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this event a success: our attendees, sponsors, vendors, speakers, volunteers, youth panelists, and the dedicated planning committee.

Here’s a quick look at the 2025 conference—by the numbers:

  • 345 attendees
  • 57 Nebraska school districts represented
  • 54 speakers
  • 37 exhibitor booths
  • 35 breakout sessions
  • 28 volunteers, staff, and committee members worked the event
  • 16 sponsors
  • 5 youth panelists
  • Mental Health Champion awardees
  • national keynote speakers
  • therapy dogs

And the most impactful number of all? 205,244—the number of Nebraska students who stand to benefit from the educators who attended this year’s conference. We hope to see you all back in Omaha next year for the Middle America School Mental Health Conference, May 27-28, 2026.
