United Way of the Midlands is celebrating its 13th annual Day of Caring on October 10th! The service event first began in 2001 to promote the spirit and value of volunteerism. Each year, hundreds of individuals and groups across Douglas, Sarpy, and Pottawamie counties participate in Day of Caring. While official sign-ups will began in September, some of the past volunteer activities included painting, stocking food pantries, assisting clients, or doing light repair projects.
If you would like to get involved in this year’s services event, go to the United Way’s web site to sign up!
