2009 Nami Walk

The second annual NAMIWALKS for the Mind of America will be held Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Elmwood Park in Omaha. Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. with the walk kick off at 9:00 a.m.

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, sponsors NAMIWALKS for the Mind of America throughout the nation in an effort to increase awareness, fight stigma, and raise funds required to expand programs needed by individuals and families on their journey to recovery. This year’s walk will be the second of its kind in Nebraska.

NAMI needs your help to make the 2009 event an even bigger success. There are multiple ways you can participate. Whether you choose to form a walk team, join an existing team, walk as an individual, sponsor a walker, make a general donation, or volunteer to work the day of the event, you are needed! There is no cost to participate.
