The Sad Reality about Prenatal Anxiety and Depression
Finding out that you are expecting a child can be one of the most exciting moments of your life! However, it can also be a time filled with worry, stress, and even fear. Worrying about potential health risks for you and the baby, stressing about the financial strain of raising a child, and even fear of the many unknowns can become overwhelming.
Hill Day 2016
Earlier this month I joined seven fellow Nebraskans on the Hill in Washington, D.C. for the National Council for Behavioral Health’s Hill Day. Understanding Attachment Styles
Have you ever wondered why some people act a certain way in relationships; jealous, paranoid, insecure, needy, or assertive? We have all known someone whose relationships are always full of drama. Why is this? It could be that they are finding themselves attracted to people who simply have a different attachment style, which can cause friction in a relationship if not worked through as a couple.
What A Month!
We are so humbled by the outpouring of support and feedback that we’ve received this month after all the coverage WOWT provided to build awareness about suicide prevention. Most importantly, I want to thank the survivors, partners, and advocates who gave of their time, and shared their stories (some for the first time) so that others may learn from their experiences.
